Timberland Acquisition and Divestiture Opportunities
Evaluation across the land base using criteria to identify non-strategic land for divestiture. Marketing efforts include a combination of community networking and web-based sales to achieve an efficient and strategic footprint. TVF collaborates with multiple service providers during the identification process of HBU property. TVF works with local law firm to maximize returns and closing times.
Land Acquisition: Work with other timberland owners and managers to determine market opportunities. Evaluate packages derived from the market to determine if they fit our strategic position.
Harvest and Logging Operations
Through supervision of contract logging annual harvest more than 1 M tons per year. Focus on commercial thinning operations to ensure higher valued products at final harvest. Maximization of return on a tract specific level. Security ticket system to ensure volume arrives at desired markets and returns are maximized. Manage harvest on the tract level to ensure compliance to BMP’s. Work to develop additional markets.
Carbon Opportunities
Preliminary phases of a process to assess carbon capture and sequestration opportunities. Continue to evaluate opportunities as the carbon market matures and develops.
Hunting and Recreational Opportunities
Actively working with third-party providers to maximize hunting and recreational opportunities.
